California Beer Reviews

About California Beer
California’s beer history started in 1849 in San Francisco when the Adam Schuppert Brewery became the state’s first brewery. Beer in San Francisco can be traced to the Gold Rush. In 1875 the Boca Brewing Company brewed the state’s first lager beer. Since the early days, California has been called the birthplace of the American Craft Brewing movement. Today the state has 980 craft breweries which operate across the state.
