About El Salvador’s Beer
The El Salvador brewing history was started by a Guatemalan named Don Rafael Meza Ayau in 1906, when he founded the La Costancia brewery. The La Costancia is one of two breweries that make up the Salvadoran beer industry to this day, with the other being the Cadejo Brewing Company.

El Salvador’s most popular beers are Pilsener (the unofficial national beer), Suprema (the king of beers), Golden Light, Regia and Suprema Roja.
