About the Brewery
Beachwood BBQ was first opened in 2006 in Seal Beach. The location was rated by Beer Advocate, as one of the Top-5 beer bars in America. The accolades and popularity spurred chef-owner Gabe Gordon to look at expansion in the LA area. In 2011 he would team up with home brewer Julian Shrago to add a brewpub to the new Long Beach location. By 2015 Shrago produced around 2,100 barrels which was mostly sold in the pub’s bar. They are still an independent brewery and have 3 locations- Seal Beach, Long Beach and Huntington Beach.

Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 3 out of 5
Beachwood’s LBC IPA is not clear but has a light golden hue with a nice white head which dissipates pretty quick. I smell aromas of nut and peppery hops on the nose of the beer. The flavors are peppery, dry with a little bitterness that ends very dry.
