The Libertine Pub was founded in 2012 by Eric and Rodessa Newton in Morro Bay, California. In 2015 they secured a larger property in San Luis Obispo and the Libertine Brewing Company was born. They still brew their beer in San Louis Obispo, but they ship their wort to their Santa Maria facility for aging, blending and packaging.
Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 3 out of 5
Libertine’s Pacific Ocean Blue Gose has a very light honey hue with no head and a sour vinegar aroma. The beer is soft with flavors of vinegar. It is light, but lacks flavor. If I was to sum this one up, I would say it has light tropical fruit flavors followed by a vinegary brine.
