About the Brewery
In 1992, Jack White started the Home Brew Mart in San Diego, California. Four years later he would found the Ballast Point Brewing Company in the back of his homebrew supply store. In 2006 the company opened their first production brewery in Scripps Ranch, but by 2014 they had to move to a bigger production brewery and headquarters in Miramar. A year later the company was purchased by Constellation Brand’s for 1-billion dollars. This purchase allowed the brewery to expand into the east coast. At the end of 2019, Chicago-based brewery Kings and Convicts bought Ballast Point from Constellation Brands.
Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
Passing Haze IPA has a hazy cloudy light gold honey color with a small frothy head. The beer has light aromas of hops with a nice light flavor and finishes with a light hops. Overall, it’s a good beer.
