About the Brewery
In 1987 David Norfleet, Kim Allen and Ken Allen founded the Anderson Valley Brewing Company in Boonville, California. They were one of the pioneers of the craft beer industry, as there were only 20 craft breweries in the US at this time. In 1996, they built a new facility to accommodate their increased demand.
The brewery was sold to Trey White in 2010, and then to the McGee Family in 2019. Beer and wine industry veteran Kevin McGee is now the President and CEO of Anderson Valley Brewing.
Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
Anderson Valley Bourbon Barrel Stout has a pitch black hue with a frothy light brown head. The beer has sweet aromas of sweet mocha, and is soft, smooth and slightly sweet. The beer is well balanced and ends with a mocha finish. Overall this is a good stout!
