About the Brewery
The Humboldt Brewing Company was founded in Arcata, California in 1987. In 2000, the company realized that they could not keep up with demand, so they teamed up with Firestone Walker to brew their beers. In 2012, Total Beverage Solution purchased the brand, and the brand is now brewed by Mendocino Brewing Company in Northern California.

Humboldt Brewing’s Nectar Pale Ale has a dark gold color with a nicely constructed head, with a slight citrus hops aroma. This beer is a stronger pale ale that is dry and a little bitter. I pickup a tinge of hops and the beer has a slightly burnt caramel taste. Overall it’s good, it’s just really dry and a bit different (not refreshing.)
