About the Brewery
In 1846 Francesco Peroni founded Birra Peroni in Vegevano, Italy. By 1864 the demand for Peroni was so high, that they opened a second brewery in Rome. Peroni is still the best selling beer in Italy and one of the five most popular Italian beers in the world. The company is currently owned by Asahi Breweries, who purchased them in 2016.
Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 3 out of 5
Peroni has a crystal clear light copper hue with a very light head. I pickup malt on the nose, and it has that European larger aroma. The beer is soft on the tongue with a kind of creamy aftertaste. It is a light lager, very drinkable and has a slight bitter hint on the finish.
