About the Brewery
In 1865, Theodore Hamm founded the Theodore Hamm Brewing Company in St. Paul, Minnesota. By 1880, the brewery had grown to become the second largest in the state. During Prohibition, the company would survive by producing soft drinks as well as other food products. When Prohibition was finally repealed the brewery saw dynamic growth. By the 1950’s, they had become the 5th largest brewery in the nation. In 1965, the family would sell the brewery to Heublein and exit the brewing industry to focus on their real estate ventures.

Hamm’s is now owned by MillerCoors. They produce three types of beer- Premium, Golden Draft and Special Light all of which are brewed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 3.5 out of 5
Hamm’s has a light straw hue with a nice white compact head. The beer has malty aromas with flavors of malt and grain on the mouth. The beer finishes with a hint of bitterness on the post palate. Overall it’s a pretty good sweet malty beer.
