About the Brewery
New Belgium Brewing Company was cofounded by Kim Jordan and Jeff Lebesch in Fort Collins, Colorado. The couple installed brewing equipment in their basement in 1991 where they produced test batches of Fat Tire Amber Ale and Abbey Ale. They would sell their beer for the first time at the Colorado Brewers Festival. Many accolades later as well as expansion into Asheville, NC; New Belgium Brewing Company is a success story born from a bike trip to Belgium in 1988!
Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
This Amber Ale has a caramel hue and a light head. I smell grains with a soft toasted caramel flavor. It’s a medium bodied beer, but it does taste a little heavier. Overall it’s a really good amber, and I thoroughly enjoyed this one!
