About the Brewery
The founder, Larry Bell, would open Kalamazoo Brewing Supply Company in 1983 which would lead to the inception of Bell’s Brewery. In 1985 Larry sold his first commercial beer using a 15-gallon soup pot! The following year his beer production would reach 135 barrels. This beer would be self-distributed until 1989 when Rave Associates would take over distribution. In 1992 Bell’s would finally get a 15-barrel system to brew their beer. Ten-years later they would move into their new brewing facility in Comstock. It wasn’t until 2006 when the company would legally change their name to Bell’s Brewery, Inc. In 2012 the Bell family repurchased all stock held by outside investors and now has full family ownership of the company. Since those humble beginnings, the company has earned a stellar reputation among beer drinkers, opened a café and has a large brewing facility.

Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
Bell’s Official Hazy IPA has a hazy lemon hue with a light colored nice white head. I can smell the Citra hops on the nose, as it has a nice sweet citrus aroma. The flavor is nice as its light. It goes from a little bitterness, but back to a dry and juicy taste with the Citra hops coming to the forefront. I like this one, it’s a good beer. It’s nice, light, dry, a little bitterness and then on to a light juicy lingering flavor. Mmmmm mmmm!
