About the Brewery
The Abita Brewing Company was founded in the Abita Springs, LA, which is 30 miles north of New Orleans. In year one, the brewery produced 1,500 barrels of beer and by 1994, they outgrew the original site (now their 100-seat brew pub) and moved up the road to a larger facility to keep up with demand. The brewery now brews more than 151,000 barrels of beer and 9,100 barrels of root beer. Their lagers and ales are brewed in small batches, hand-crafted by a team of dedicated workers with only the highest ideals of quality, and has been recognized nationally as one of the top craft breweries in the United States.
Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 3.5 out of 5
Abita Maison Blanc has a golden pale hue, small head and a light hops nose. The beer is smooth and reminds me a Belgian beer. The flavor is clean, and it has a nice richness to it.
