About Pale Ale Beer
The term Pale Ale was coined in 1703 for beers made from malts dried with high-carbon coke (not the soda). This process resulted in a lighter color beer which was different from the average beer. Pale Ales tend to be hop-forward beers with a malty flavor and a golden to amber color. It essentially bridges the gape between a dark stout and a light lager.
