About the La Constancia Brewery
In 1906, a Guatemalan named Don Rafael Meza Ayau founded the La Constancia brewery in Santa Ana, which was El Salvador’s first brewery. The brewery would later move to San Salvador, acquire Cerveceria Polar and change its name to La Constancia S.A. In 2005, the company was fully owned by SABMiller, and in 2016 SABMiller merged with AB InBev, and La Constancia officially became part of the AB InBev family.
