About Honduran Beer
The Honduran beer industry is influenced by Germans who left the country in the 19th Century and introduced Honduras to lagers. Honduras’ largest brewery is Cerveceria Hondureña, which is part of the multinational brewing conglomerate, SAB Miller. They produce the four largest beers in the country (Salva Vida, Imperial, Port Royal and Barena.)
In 2013 D&D Brewing opened, in 2016 Gecko Brewing Company and in 2019 Roatan Island Brewing Company. While Honduras doesn’t have a rich brewing history, there is an immergence of new breweries opening in the country.
