Average Beer Rating- 4

Description:
Deschutes Fresh Haze IPA is a juice bomb which explodes with orange citrus and a soft malt body. The beer is comprised of 2-row, Munich, Crystal, Wheat and flaked barley malt, with Amarillo, Cashmere and Mandarina Bavaria hops. The ABV for Fresh Haze IPA is 6.5%.

Glass to Use:
IPA beers are best served in a 16oz. pint glass.

About the Brewery
The Deschutes Brewery was founded in 1988 by Gary Fish. The brewery is located in downtown Bend, Oregon and is named after the Deschutes River. In its first year of operation, the brewery sold 310 barrels and had scaled to 3,954 barrels in 1992. As a result of the increased growth, they were forced to expand the brewery in 1993. The Deschutes Brewery now consists of one brewing facility and three brewpubs with one located in Portland’s Pearl District and another on the east coast in Roanoke, Virginia.

Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
Deschutes Fresh Haze IPA has a hazy orangish hue with a frothy head that dissipates into a loose head. The beer has a citrus hops aroma with light subtle flavors of blood orange with a little tart grapefruit that finishes with sweet orange. This is a good beer, it kind of reminds me of chilled orange juice or a creamsicle.

Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
Deschutes Black Butte Porter has a dark chocolate hue with a small light toffee colored head. The beer bursts with aromas of dark chocolate with a smooth light chocolate taste. It looks heavy, but is actually lighter with tastes of malt and chocolate.

Tobin’s Review 3 out of 5
Deschutes Handup IPA has a murky dull gold color with a small head. I can pick up a slight hint of hops on the nose. The beer is smooth with a light citrus hops flavor. It’s a little bitter at first, but then it smooths our with a light crisp finish.

Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
Deschutes Obsidian Stout has a pitch black hue with a nice toffee head. The beer pops with chocolate malt aromas. It is clean, smooth and has a pronounced chocolate flavor. It’s very smooth with a little bitterness at the end. Overall this is a quality stout….. drop everything and try this one ASAP!
