Golden Road Ride On Tropical IPA

Description:
Golden Road Ride On Tropical IPA is brewed with real pineapple juice and passionfruit with a unique blend of citrusy hops to enhance the tropical flavor of the real fruit. The beer is comprised of 2-row, wheat, and several different kinds of hops (Simcoe, Strata, Centennial, Chinook, CTZ, Idaho 7, Motueka, Amarillo, Cashmere, Galaxy). The ABV for Golden Road Ride On Tropical IPA is 7.2%.

Glass to Use:
IPA beers are best served in a 16oz. pint glass.

About the Brewery
Golden Road Brewing was founded by Meg Gill and Tony Yanow in 2011 and is located in Los Angeles, CA. In 2015 the brewery partnered with Anheuser-Busch which allowed the brewery to continue to grow its beer selection, get shelf space and expand their line of beers. Today Golden Road Brewing is a Los Angeles favorite!

Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 3 out of 5
Golden Road’s Ride On Tropical IPA has a light honeysuckle hue with a fast-dissipating medium white head. The head literally disappeared in record speed. The beer has light mossy fur hop aromas, which are sweet on the nose. The beer is smooth with a hint of fruit. I pick up notes of lime and apricot (I guess this was actually the passionfruit, but it tasted like apricot to me). It’s really fruity, not very dry and has dried sweet fruit flavors.

Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
Technomancer Hazy Galaxy DIPA has a dark honey hue with a small frothy creamy head. There isn’t much of an aroma as I really only pick-up faint hops on the nose. The first sip is soft and light with a little bitterness. Overall, this is a smooth beer. I am usually not a big fan of DIPA’s, but this is a superbly crafted beer.

Gigazapper DIPA has a copper hue with a nice off-white compact head and sweet hop citrus aromas. The beer is super soft, but immediately turns dry. The hops and grains in this beer are well-balanced and it is a nicely constructed beer. If you like DIPAs this is the bomb, as it’s a solid beer…. just not my gig though.

Average Beer Rating- 3

Description:
Stone Scorpion Bowl IPA has a deep gold, bright, thin white head with tropical aromas (Hibiscus punch, pineapple, tangerine, guava, mango and passionfruit.) The flavors consist of complex and layered fruit throughout including juicy tropical fruit, tangerine, strawberry and subtle herb notes. The beer has a nice lingering fruit finish with just the right amount of bitterness. The ABV for this IPA is 7.5%.

Glass to Use:
IPA beers are best served in a 16oz. pint glass.

About the Brewery
In 1996, Steve Wagner and Greg Koch founded the Stone Brewing Company in San Marcos, California. Nine years later the pair would relocate their brewery to Escondido. Currently the brewery operates on the west coast, but also has a brewery in Richmond, Virginia on the east coast. Stone Brewing has seen dynamic growth as they operate a number of taprooms and restaurants, their beers are available in all 50-states as well as 40+ countries worldwide!

Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 3 out of 5
Stone Scorpion Bowl IPA has a copper hue with a compact off-white head. The beer doesn’t have much of an aroma as I really only pick up a light grainy nose. Overall the beer is smooth with a bit of caramel that turns slightly bitter with a hops finish. This is a good beer, given the fact that it is high in alcohol.
