Description:
Amstel Light is a low-calorie beer that has a deep gold color with full flavors of barley malt and hops. The ABV for Amstel Light is 3.5%.

Glass to Use:
Lagers are best served in a Pint glass.

About the Brewery
The Amstel Brewery, named after the Amstel River, was founded by Charles Antoine de Pesters, Johannes Hendrikus van Marwijk Kooy and Willem Eduard Uhlenbroek in 1870. They would brew their first beer in October 1871, and delivered it to clients in January 1872 (the year they officially opened the brewery.) Their beer was generally consumed within the country, but in 1883 they began to export it to Great Britain and the Dutch East Indies.

In 1968, Amstel was bought out by Heineken International, and in 1972 the brewery was closed. Heineken continued to produce Amstel in its main plant in Zoeterwoude.

Beer Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
Amstel Light has a golden hue with a light white frothy head. The beer has a malty aroma with flavors of grain and light malt. It is a nice soft beer which I have always enjoyed!
