About the Brewery
Calidad Beer was founded by Josh Zad in 2018. He was able to secure some high profile investors- former MLB star Adrian Gonzalez, and founder from Sweetgreen and MeUndies. By 2019 Calidad Beer was found in more than 300 bars and restaurants in Southern California as well as liquor and retail stores. Calidad Beer is now brewing under the brand Smiling Sun Brewing Company based in Santa Barbara, CA.

Calidad has a true gold color with nice white head. The aromas of the beer are sweet honey and malt. The beer is soft with a little hint of citrus backed by honey on the post-palate. It’s a pretty good beer with a honey tinge.
